VILLA 4 EVER

The living space of villa  SHINE is 190 sqm and that of the other, SUN, is 170 sqm. On a plot of approximately 1000 square meters, a natural threshing floor, known in Greek as ALONI, separates the two houses from each other and in turn connects them with the history of this landscape.

The place here is also called “ALONI” because there are several natural threshing floors around it, which are also protected by the Crete Monument Protection Authority as modern archaeological finds.

We have also protected our threshing floor and attach great importance to maintaining it as we found it. Our visitors have the opportunity to take a look at the history of the place from the window of their accommodation: where people once produced wheat, trees and plants now thrive.

The special location of the houses offers you the chance to enjoy a beautiful landscape and switch off from everyday life. With a view of the sea, the mountains, the gorge, but also with a view of the inner village Roussospiti, which lies directly opposite the gorge at your feet, gives a feeling of distance, but also of deep, inner closeness: where the human Work and nature meet.

The Fortezza Castle in downtown Rethymno is at your feet – especially at night when it is illuminated; Even the city of Chania doesn’t look so far anymore. The fresh country air and the wonderful Cretan sun will give you an unforgettable time!

The underfloor heating allows our guests to use the accommodation even in the winter months and to experience a wonderful combination of the idyllic, gentle mountain winter with the island’s eternal sun!
